Welcome to...this blog...

Yeah, yeah, I know the blog doesn't look very impressive now, but once I get my tech-savvy friends to help me, it will look awesome. Hopefully.
I'm Heroine--not really a superhero, but getting there. I hope to one day be a novelist and artist--more specifically, a comic book artist. My goal is to ultimately change the way people look at superheroes. As they've evolved over time, I realized that only a certain group of people, so called "comic book nerds" have recognized this genre's potential.
I've always said, it depends on the nerd. Which one, a random Lord of the Rings fanatic or a great graphic novelist like Alan Moore?
See, there's something about comic book characters that make them more flexible and profound than other characters. Who says Batman can't have the same virtues as Atticus Finch? Yeah, I dare to make that comparison because it's a POSSIBILITY. Comic book superheroes aren't obnoxious, happy-go-lucky dudes running around with underwear over their tights anymore (though, their image still stays); if you truly examine their characters, in all seriousness, nothing is stopping you from treating their character with just as much respect as...I dunno...Slim in Of Mice and Men. See, I've done my reading!
For those few of you out there who share maybe a few thoughts like me, I think you've come to the right place.
